Interfaces – Importing Payments in Bulk

Saving time is what Casetrackerlaw is all about.  Being able to do anything in bulk is great, especially if the task at hand is as tedious as data entry.  Like manually entering 50 to 100 check payments with all the pertinent information needed can be a grueling task and time consuming.

Casetrackerlaw gives you a way out with one of our newest features that allows for importing payments in bulk using a CSV spreadsheet.  The Interfaces link is where the import options are listed and where you will select Payments from a drop-down menu.  Select and name your import, select the unique identifier then decide what is allowable.  Duplicates, new payment methods, new payment types or new “Payment To”.   See screenshot below.  The system will import the payments file, dropping the information into the correct fields and the system will recalculate the new claim balance.

Understanding “Level of Access” for Attachments and Notes

  What is "Level of Access"? "Level of Access" refers to the administrator's ability to control which users can view specific documents or notes that are attached or entered into the claim within our system. Four Levels of Access for Attachments: 1.      All: Visible to anyone with access to the system and working on claims. 2.      Self: Displayed only for the user who attached the document. 3.      Fwd Attorney: Accessible to all admins and attorneys. 4.      Internal File: Viewable by all in-house users. Setting Access for Attachments: Admins or collectors can choose "All," "Internal File," or "Fwd Attorney" when attaching a document, based on who needs to see it.   There are two types of debt, commercial and consumer, and then there are many categories; construction, real estate, aviation, medical, student loans...the list is long. Collecting consumer medical debt can be messy. There could potentially be multiple doctor visits depending on the type of medicine. Dermatology, for example, is a medical field that would require multiple trips to the doctor’s office. Let us set up a scenario with this type of debt collection. Mrs. Smith takes her daughter to the dermatologist for the first time. The visit costs $800.00, insurance pay’s part but the rest is up to the patient.
