Updated New Feature! “Access User Permissions”

As everyone knows, Casetrackerlaw gives the ability to limit what users have access to.   Basically, restrict what admin users can do in the system.  In the last post, I talked about 7 new system setting options that were included.  We have added a few more to that list.

Settings, System Settings; this is the global defaults center where the ability to perform actions are restricted for ALL admin and collector users.  The top portion is available for all users however, the bottom portion is restricted, and only super admin can view and update this section.

Simply click the Yes or No toggle for each line item, then Update and all admin or collector users screens will be customized.

FYI: under Manage Staff, there are 5 defaults pertaining to each user.  You can take global access away in system settings, but can give individual access to specific users.

Understanding “Level of Access” for Attachments and Notes

  What is "Level of Access"? "Level of Access" refers to the administrator's ability to control which users can view specific documents or notes that are attached or entered into the claim within our system. Four Levels of Access for Attachments: 1.      All: Visible to anyone with access to the system and working on claims. 2.      Self: Displayed only for the user who attached the document. 3.      Fwd Attorney: Accessible to all admins and attorneys. 4.      Internal File: Viewable by all in-house users. Setting Access for Attachments: Admins or collectors can choose "All," "Internal File," or "Fwd Attorney" when attaching a document, based on who needs to see it. Medical Debt & Casetrackerlaw

  There are two types of debt, commercial and consumer, and then there are many categories; construction, real estate, aviation, medical, student loans...the list is long. Collecting consumer medical debt can be messy. There could potentially be multiple doctor visits depending on the type of medicine. Dermatology, for example, is a medical field that would require multiple trips to the doctor’s office. Let us set up a scenario with this type of debt collection. Mrs. Smith takes her daughter to the dermatologist for the first time. The visit costs $800.00, insurance pay’s part but the rest is up to the patient. There is a balance of $300.00 which will be sent to collections. The claim is entered into Casetrackerlaw with the status of Medical Services and claim type of Medical.
