Related Claims

There are firms and agencies that collect delinquent debt that is recurring.  For example, medical debt or companies that provide a recurring service such as auto repair.  These types of claims should be connected in some way so that they can be worked at the same time.  There could be multiple claims, each with its own balance that make up a grand total. 

Casetrackerlaw has got you covered with a blue claim tab called “Related”.  This feature gives the user the ability to connect, tie or relate multiple claims together in order to work them at the same time.   The screenshot below illustrates how related claims will look.

There is also a “Related Report” that can be used to find and view all the related claims in the system.

A demand letter can also be generated and mailed to the debtor that will display the grand total of the related claims.

Understanding “Level of Access” for Attachments and Notes

  What is "Level of Access"? "Level of Access" refers to the administrator's ability to control which users can view specific documents or notes that are attached or entered into the claim within our system. Four Levels of Access for Attachments: 1.      All: Visible to anyone with access to the system and working on claims. 2.      Self: Displayed only for the user who attached the document. 3.      Fwd Attorney: Accessible to all admins and attorneys. 4.      Internal File: Viewable by all in-house users. Setting Access for Attachments: Admins or collectors can choose "All," "Internal File," or "Fwd Attorney" when attaching a document, based on who needs to see it.   There are two types of debt, commercial and consumer, and then there are many categories; construction, real estate, aviation, medical, student loans...the list is long. Collecting consumer medical debt can be messy. There could potentially be multiple doctor visits depending on the type of medicine.
