Here are the steps you take to prepare to forward claims.

1. Go to Manage Attorneys, click the blue button for the organization you wish.  For example, click the General Bar button, the next screen is where you review the list of attorney members.  There is a green button “Add to My Attorneys” that you will click in order to add the attorney to the Manage Attorneys database called “My Attorneys”.

2. Open the claim you wish to forward, click the “Forwarding” blue tab, click the red “Forward” link

3. Select Instruction from the drop-down menu for the attorney. (this is optional but should be used in order to tell the attorney your terms.  The options in this drop-down menu are customizable via Settings, “Claim Forwarding Instruction Template”)

4. Click ‘Unbonded’, the claim is forwarded directly to the attorney for collections
Click ‘Bonded’, the claim is sent to the attorney organization to be bonded or insured.

5. Once the claim has been forwarded, the receiving attorney will receive an email notice telling him of the claim.  The email includes some claim information, a link to your website and a username and password for the attorney to access their portal in order to accept or reject the claim.

6. Once the attorney accepts or rejects the claim, the administration side will receive a “Latest Update” located on the red dashboard.  If the attorney rejects the claim, you can cancel the claim and resend to another attorney.
